Hardly another city in Europe has such a plethora of important buildings reflecting a millennium of rich Jewish history and tradition as "Warmaisa".
Boasting a range of unique testimonies of a moving history of Christian-Jewish coexistence, Worms still enjoys considerable fame with Jews around the world as the "Little Jerusalem" of old. Between the year 1000 and the dark times of Nazi terror, a Jewish community had been living here without interruption, and despite all demolitions and hardships, there are still many places telling the story of these Jews.
